Explore the picturesque 2-day Bumdra trek in Bhutan, detailed below with information on the itinerary, cost, altitude, difficulty, and distance. Although you can start this trek from three different points, the most recommended starting point is the Sang Choekhor Monastery in Shari. The trail leads you through a serene pine forest, offering breathtaking views of Paro Valley below. This trek has a romantic touch, allowing hikers to enjoy the stunning sunset over the hills of Haa. You’ll also get a bird’s eye view of the Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang) and its surrounding chapels. The area features three sky burial sites believed to be blessed by Guru Rinpoche.
While at Bumdra, you can hike to a sky burial site, try your hand at archery or the Khuru game (dart), or simply relax. Photography enthusiasts will find plenty of opportunities to capture the beauty of nature and scenic landscapes.
