7 Days Bhutan Tour Cost: The cost for the 7-day Bhutan tour includes a sustainable development fee (SDF) of US $100 per person per night and a Bhutan visa fee of US $40 per person. Entrance fees for monuments and festivals are not included and must be paid separately.
Day 1: Arrive Paro – Thimphu Sightseeing (54 km, 1-hour drive) Upon arrival at Paro airport, your guide and driver will greet you and drive to Thimphu. En route, stop to view the Tamchog Monastery, built in the 15th century by Thang Tong Gyalpo.
In the afternoon, visit the Memorial Chorten, the tallest Buddha statue, Changangkha Lhakhang, Takin Preserve Center, and Sangaygang viewpoint.
In the evening, visit Dupthop Lhakhang and enjoy free time exploring the town.
Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Thimphu Sightseeing Morning visits include the National Postal Museum, Craft Bazaar, Textile Museum, and the School of 13 Arts and Crafts. Lunch will be at the Simply Bhutan Museum restaurant.
In the afternoon, witness an archery match at Changlimithang Stadium.
In the evening, visit Tashichho Dzong, the royal secretariat.

Day 3: Thimphu – Punakha Sightseeing (76 km, 2-hour drive) In the morning, drive to the scenic Punakha Valley. En route, visit the picturesque Dochula Pass (3140 m) and Chimi Lhakhang, also known as the Temple of Fertility, built in 1499 to honor Drukpa Kuenley.
In the afternoon, visit Punakha Dzong, built in 1637 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, which serves as the winter residence of the Je Khenpo and the monk body.
Then, hike to the Khamsum Yulley Monastery.
In the evening, cross the longest suspension bridge in Bhutan (160 meters).
Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4: Punakha – Wangdue Phodrang – Gangtey Sightseeing (75 km, 2-hour drive) In the morning, drive to Gangtey. Make a brief stop to view the Wangdue Phodrang Dzong. Gangtey, the upper part of the valley, and Phobjikha, the lower part, form a beautiful glacial valley and winter roosting ground for rare black-necked cranes.
Visit the Gangtey Monastery, built in 1613 by Gyaltse Pema Thinley, which hosts the annual Gangtey Festival and Crane Information Center.
In the evening, explore the Phobjikha Valley (3000 m).
Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5: Gangtey – Paro Sightseeing (185 km, 5-hour drive) In the morning, drive to Paro, stopping occasionally for photos.
In the afternoon, visit the Ta Dzong (National Museum of Bhutan) and Rinpung Dzong.
In the evening, visit a Bhutanese farmhouse.
Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6: Paro Sightseeing – Hike to the Tiger’s Nest Monastery In the morning, drive to Satsam Chorten and begin a 2-hour hike to the Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Paro Taktsang).
In the afternoon, visit Drugyel Dzong, the fortress built in 1649 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, and Kichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest monasteries, built in 659 AD by Srongtsen Gampo.
In the evening, enjoy free time exploring the town for shopping and photography.
Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 7: Paro – Departure After breakfast, drive to Paro International Airport for your departure. Farewell and end of the 7-day Bhutan tour.
