This concise 4-day Bhutan tour encompasses the captivating cities of Paro and Thimphu in western Bhutan. Paro, renowned for its stunning valley, sits at an elevation of 2200 meters, while Thimphu, the capital city, is situated at an altitude of 2334 meters with a population of around 140,000. Notably, Thimphu is the only capital city in the world without traffic lights. The tour includes iconic sites such as the Tiger’s Nest Monastery in Paro, the Buddha Dordenma statue in Thimphu, Tashichho Dzong, and the National Museum in Paro.

Itinerary Overview:

Day 1: Arrive in Paro – Thimphu Sightseeing | 54 km | Drive: 1 hour | Altitude: 2334 m Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, you will be greeted by your guide and driver, who will transfer you to Thimphu. The journey includes a visit to the picturesque Tamchog Lhakhang, built in 1420 by Thang Tong Gyalpo. In Thimphu, explore the National Memorial Chorten, the towering Buddha Dordenma statue, the bustling craft bazaar, and the historic Tashichho Dzong.

Day 2: Thimphu – Paro Sightseeing | 54 km | Drive: 1 hour | Altitude: 2200 m Travel back to Paro, visiting key attractions such as the National Museum housed in Ta Dzong and the architecturally stunning Rinpung Dzong. The day also includes a visit to a traditional Bhutanese farmhouse, offering insights into local life and culture.

Day 3: Paro – Hike to the Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Paro Taktsang) | 7 km | Hike: 4 hours Embark on a memorable hike to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery, perched on a cliffside. The hike is approximately 4 hours round trip and provides spectacular views and a deep connection to Bhutanese spirituality.

Day 4: Paro – Departure Conclude your Bhutan adventure with a transfer to Paro International Airport for your departure, marking the end of the 4-day tour.

Tour Costs: The following costs include the Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) of US $100 per person per night and a Bhutan visa fee of US $40 per person per visit.
